Roxanne Simmons, MD

Dr. Roxanne Simmons is a pediatric neurologist who specializes in caring for children with epilepsy and other neurological conditions. She also manages the epilepsy monitoring unit (which provides evaluations over multiple days to help doctors better understand a patient's seizures) and evaluates patients for epilepsy surgery. She has special interests in epilepsy surgery, neuromodulation (therapeutic devices that stimulate the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves) and caring for diverse populations.

Simmons' research interests include early-onset epilepsy, novel treatments for medication-resistant epilepsy, and neurogenetic disorders (conditions caused by genetic defects that affect the brain, spinal cord and neuromuscular system).
